The Portuguese coach completely reshaped his side to face Young Boys and Roma collected important three points in their first Europa League appearance of the 2020-21 season.

Several consecutive matches are awaiting for the Giallorossi in the next couple of weeks and Paulo Fonseca decided to play many players who had not had much playing time so far.

The Portuguese coach said to be pleased with the performance of his team in the 1-2 victory over Young Boys.

It’s important to have confidence in all players. It wasn’t an easy match. They had won 15 consecutive matches on their pitch and we shouldn’t forget that they also defeated Juventus two years ago.

Paulo Fonseca said to Sky Sport

Roma‘s coach is already focused on the next big clash at the Stadio San Siro against Milan. The Giallorossi will face a tough side, a group of players with confidence and quality. The Rossoneri have been doing great under Pioli‘s management.

We have an issue at this time. We don’t have that many players. Let’s see what condition everyone is after this match.
