The Lupi reportedly have a new target, Kumbulla. The price-tag of Izzo is high but he is still a possibility while Manchester United resists for Smalling.
Armando Izzo has been linked to Roma recently and his possible move to the Italian capital could help Torino bring Lucas Torreira back to Italy. Connected negotiations that may develop soon!
As reported by Calciomercato.com, the Granata are closing in on Arsenal‘s midfielder Torreira while the Giallorossi may bring Izzo to the Eternal City.
The main issue is the reported price-tag of the Italian defender (about €25m). The famous Italian portal Calciomercato.it reports that Izzo was proposed to the Lupi last Thursday. Although Roma is interested in the defender, his current evaluation slows down the development of a negotiation that could be finalized this week.
Recently, Roma has been linked to Lucas Torreira as well. No developments on that front have been recorded at this time. Reportedly, the Uruguayan midfielder would like to return to Italy. Torino may be a good option for him. The new coach of the Granata, Marco Giampaolo, had trained him during his spell at Sampdoria.
The latest update on the new defender for the Giallorossi comes from the Italian transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio (Gianlucadimarzio.com). Roma is now negotiating Verona‘s centre-back Marash Kumbulla. With Manchester United unwilling to cut Chris Smalling‘s price-tag, the Lupi are reportedly working on a loan with obligation-to-buy at €30m.
Roma is moving forward for defenders. The Giallorossi may be willing to give Fonseca two new players for his backline.
