The Viola seem to be interested in the Spaniard although the defender is not a priority for Fiorentina. If the clubs reach an agreement, Roma may move for Izzo or Smalling.

With the Kumbulla deal reportedly very close to a happy ending, the management of the Giallorossi may also move forward for another experienced and talented centre-back.

Fiorentina seems to be interested in Federico Fazio, a player who is no longer of primary importance in the Roma project. According to Firenzeviola.it, the Viola have a real interest in the Spanish defender albeit he is not a priority at this time.

If Roma and Fiorentina reach an agreement, the Lupi would have the possibility to sign another centre-back. Talks for Smalling are still ongoing although the Red Devils have refused several offers that came from the Italian capital.

The British defender wants to rejoin Fonseca‘s side as soon as possible but if this deal cannot be finalized, Roma could try to sign Torino‘s Armando Izzo. The Giallorossi are willing to put two new defenders in their roster as well as a right-back.
