The Dutchman spoke about his role at Roma and the tactical approach Fonseca wants from him. Kluivert wants to play with his national team.
In unprecedented times, football is now on hold. The world is fighting against an invisible enemy and hopefully, we will win this battle with everyone’s help.
Roma’s players are training at home. Through a live Instagram interview, Justin Kluivert spoke to Fox Sports about his ambitions and tactical approach at Roma.
“I play in a slightly different position at this time. I’m almost a number 10 and now I’m understanding what the coach wants from me better,” Kluivert said.
The young talent wants to impress everyone to then play for his national team as well. “I’ve always said that my goal is to play for Holland. I have to do my best in every game. There are still a few spots left and I have to fight [to get one of them].”
EURO2020 has been postponed. Although all players want to participate in important competitions, Kluivert knows that this is not the time to think about that: “I had trained to play it [EURO2020] this year, but now there are more important things.”
