The president of the Polish football federation Boniek spoke about Roma’s current moment and their UCL race.
Interviewed by the Italian radio station CentroSuonoSport, Zibi Boniek was asked about Roma’s recent disappointing performances and the possibility of the Giallorossi to reach the qualification for the next Champions League.
“Roma did very well until a few weeks ago but then something happened. It’s tough to understand what happened from outside,” Boniek said to CentroSuonoSport. “I trust Fonseca. He has an important football idea. Perhaps, he should have more important players.”
Although he is the president of the Polish football federation and, as he said, he is very busy with the upcoming EURO2020, Boniek also confirmed his tight bond with the Giallorossi.
“Of course I’m tied to Roma, I’m a fan of Roma and I live in the capital when I’m not in Poland. If the new Friedkin ownership were to call me, I would listen to their eventual proposal.”
