The sporting director of the Giallorossi revealed that Roma didn’t need radical changes when he arrived.
The club had gone through a turbulent 2018-19 season and many thought that a radical change was necessary to be competitive. But Roma’s sporting director Petrachi unveiled something surprising.
“When I heard from Guido Fienga and president Pallotta about the plan for this club, I had no doubt and I accepted,” Gianluca Petrachi said to the AS Roma official website.
Although he made a few transfer market operations last summer, the Italian executive didn’t have to reset everything that had been done previously.
“There was no need to make radical changes but just minor adjustments. It’s been a gradual process of growth. But we still must improve further,” Petrachi confirmed to ASRoma.com.
The club seems to be working proficiently in different areas. Although the sporting director is focused on the acquisition of new players, he firmly believes everyone can give a great contribution to make this team stronger.
“We all have the possibility to make a difference in our respective spheres.“
Fonseca and Roma are now facing a very important period. The Giallorossi host Torino on Sunday and three points could boost their ambitions even more.
