The Italian midfielder spoke about his career and his current spell at Roma. Pellegrini misses Totti but he has great memories of the legendary number 10.

Great football players will be remembered forever not only for what they did on the pitch but also for their immense personality.

The gestures of the legendary captain of the Giallorossi, Francesco Totti, are still vivid in Pellegrini’s mind. He grew up admiring the number 10 of the Lupi and he regrets not being able to see him at Trigoria anymore.

“The very first time I spoke with him is when the youth team trained with the first squad. But when I met him as a child, I talked with him a lot…inside me. He didn’t know that. It was a one-way dialogue,” Lorenzo Pellegrini said to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Francesco Totti has always been a role model for many young players wishing to start a brilliant career in football.

“He [Totti] helped me understand many things and have the right attitude. His football and human experience have been very useful to me,” Pellegrini said to Walter Veltroni (La Gazzetta dello Sport).
