Roma collected three points for the Champions League after a tough match at the Stadio Marassi. Genoa reacted in the second half but Roma deserved the win.

Football can be unpredictable. When Roma double the lead thanks to Spinazzola’s cross deflected behind Perin, the local side was in total confusion and bitterly criticized by their fans. But approximately 40 seconds after, and 20 seconds before the halftime break, the former Lazio player Goran Pandev scored the 1-2 shocking the Lupi.

Genoa firmly believed in the possibility of scoring the equalizer. Nicola‘s team had the chance to score the second goal but, thanks to Perin’s weak clearance, Edin Dzeko scored the third goal for the Giallorossi.

Leonardo Spinazzola played a remarkable match today. After being in Milan to undergo medical examinations, Roma and Inter failed to find an agreement and the player returned to the Italian capital. He almost scored a goal today but he forced Biraschi to score an own goal.
