Politano, a great choice for Fonseca’s tactical system

The Italian winger seems to be on Roma’s agenda. The Giallorossi could bring Politano back to the eternal city in the January transfer window.

Anything can happen in a transfer market period. The January transfer window is almost open and the Giallorossi are reportedly also thinking of Matteo Politano.

The Italian player had started the season on positive notes at Inter, but he rapidly became Antonio Conte‘s second choice. The offensive strategies of the Italian coach do not develop with two offensive wingers but with two fullbacks capable of performing the two phases.

Matteo Politano, instead, can be a great choice for Paulo Fonseca‘s tactical system. The Portuguese coach wants his wingers to attack the space and shift towards the center of the pitch. The Italian player seems to be the perfect profile for the Lupi but only if the Giallorossi will receive a serious bid for Cengiz Under.

Since Zaniolo‘s shocking growth, the Turk is now a second choice on the right offensive flank and he may suffer from this competition in the long run.
