Roma: Two great news from the international break

Cengiz Under - AS Roma

The Giallorossi can rejoice for the return of Under. The Turk and Zaniolo confirmed their desire to become champions.

There are many good players in the Roma roster but two of them could bring immense benefits to Fonseca’s group. Cengiz Ünder and Nicolò Zaniolo have the ability to drag Roma towards the qualification for the Champions League.

The Turkish talent has been injured for a long time but he is finally fit and back into the group. After having played a few minutes in three different matches with the Lupi, he left the Italian capital to play with his national team. 81 minutes against Island for him, a very good performance, and the joy of having achieved the qualification for EURO 2020.

I’m now ready to give my best for Roma, had said Cengiz Ünder in a recent interview.

Nicolò Zaniolo can provide his great contribution as well. He has been doing great since the beginning of the season but everyone wants even more from him now. The Italy international scored two goals with the national team yesterday. He confirmed his quality even wearing the prestigious jersey of the Azzurri. EURO 2020 could make him a star.

But these two players are currently operating in the same position at Roma. Paulo Fonseca sees them as two perfect right-wingers for his tactical system and the Italian could be redirected behind Dzeko sometimes. The Turk, instead, can play only wide.

This is not going to be an issue for Fonseca. It’s always better to have a few options available rather than being forced to play players in different roles.
