Manolas on Napoli’s Defeat against Roma: the Match Over After the 2-0

Former Roma defender Manolas spoke to the press today and also analyzed Napoli’s recent defeat at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Partenopei are struggling this season and their recent Serie A defeat against the Giallorossi confirmed that Ancelotti‘s side needs to work hard to find the right balance on the pitch.

In today’s press conference ahead of Napoli’s next Champions League match, Kostas Manolas also spoke about the game against Roma.

“We have to work more on the defensive phase. We performed badly against Roma, especially at the beginning of the match. Then, in the last 20 minutes, with our pressure, Roma never had the possibility to play. But I can’t understand why we are not able to capitalize,” said Manolas to the press.

“We conceded a goal at the first opportunity but we didn’t score when we had our chance…with the 2-0, after their penalty, the match was over.”
