The Italian fullback scored the opener in the first Europa League away match of the season. Spinazzola believes Roma should have done something more to win.
Although with a point in the second round of the 2019-20 Europa League Roma sits in the first position of Group J, the Giallorossi should have taken advantage of their higher technical quality to win the game. But football is a tough sport and every match can be a serious challenge.
The Giallorossi scored the opener with Spinazzola but Wolfsberger reacted vehemently and scored the equalizer in the second half. The Italian fullback believes Roma should have done something more to win. “I was very lucky [to score his first goal for Roma] but I’m also very sorry for my second half. I made several mistakes,” said Leonardo Spinazzola to Sky right after today’s Europa League match.
“We could have played better. They pressed well but we should have managed the ball better.”
