The midfielder played a good Europa League match yesterday. Diawara believes Fonseca’s football is perfect for him.
Three points and four goals scored in the first official international match of the season. Roma started its European campaign with a convincing performance in front of a cheerful stadium.
The Portuguese coach selected the duo Diawara-Cristante to shield the backline properly and both players had a good performance.
“I feel great. I fit well in Fonseca’s football. I’m very happy,” said Diawara after the match in mixed zone. “We cannot play our football without scoring goals.”
Reportedly, Paulo Fonseca was not happy during the halftime break. Diawara confirmed that he pushed the team to do much better in the second 45 minutes. “He was very angry. He motivated us and he gave us helpful directives. The match wasn’t easy though. We were a bit slow to get into the match.”
The next Serie A match against Bologna is around the corner and Diawara is ready to play again if Fonseca wants.
