Roma-Dzeko and That Absolute Feeling Called Love

The Bosnian striker extends his contract with the Giallorossi after rumors of his imminent departure towards Milan. Dzeko and Roma go ahead together.

Unexpected things can bring moments of crazy joy sometimes. When everybody was thinking about the future striker of the Giallorossi, Gianluca Petrachi and the Roma executives pulled out a marvelous surprise.

Edin Dzeko extends his contract with Roma until June 30, 2022. The Bosnia international will still be the undisputed star of the club. This was a question of love, the perception of something real that goes beyond the professional aspects.

“Over the weeks, I have realized how much the club wanted me to stay,” said Edin Dzeko to the official AS Roma channels right after his signature on a new contract with the Lupi. The love that everyone showed him made the Bosnian giant change his mind.

The relationship with his teammates and the love of the fans made a difference: “all made me realize what I had already learned these four-years, Rome is my home.”

Love is the moment when you stop thinking with your head and start thinking with your heart. This is exactly what happened to Edin, a super player with the ambition to win. Although Antonio Conte was waiting for him, the Bosnia international firmly believes that “there’s everything we need to win something” at Roma.

Paulo Fonseca made a good impression on him as well. The Portuguese coach is likely very happy to have Dzeko in his group next campaign.
