Veretout: I Have Everything I Need to Succeed

The French midfielder signed a long-term contract with the Giallorossi and begun his new journey in the Italian capital. Veretout has high expectations for next season.

Jordan Veretout is officially a new Roma player. The Frenchman spoke to Roma TV about this new adventure in the eternal city. Roma is the club he wanted for a long time. At least since Paulo Fonseca called him to really make him feel an important piece of his project.

“He spoke to me and said he had been monitoring my progress and wanted me in his team,” said Veretout to Roma TV. “I like what he had to say. I think he can really help me.”

The former Fiorentina man has improved a lot in the past two years. Serie A is a great league for him and for his way to play. Roma, instead, represents a big step forward in his career. “I can only grow and develop here. I’m very happy to be here in Rome, a big and beautiful city. I think this league suits me well.”

Jordan Veretout is a multiskilled midfielder, a modern player able to play offensively and defensively, “During my first year in Italy, I played higher up the pitch, instead, I played more in front of the defense in my second year.”

The French midfielder knows what he wants. His goals are to do great things for Roma and, hopefully, to get a call-up by his national team, “If Roma is doing well, I may have more chances to get a call by the France team as well. I’m not thinking about it too much but I have everything I need to succeed. I am at a great club.”
