The Giallorossi may be trading out another four players to have the necessary financial freedom to launch the final attack on a great defender and striker.
Transfer market negotiations must be carefully planned and executed at the right time. Gianluca Petrachi and his collaborators are working on multiple tables to lower the operating costs of the club and have the necessary freedom to purchase a couple of top-level players.
Reportedly, the Italian executive is chasing a defender and a striker to strengthen Paulo Fonseca‘s roster. But these deals are complicated and expensive. Therefore, some players who currently appear to be out of the project must be sold.
According to the economic data reported by the Italian Calcio e Finanza, the Giallorossi could trade out four players soon to make about €15 million profits and to lower their high operating costs. Dzeko, Defrel, Olsen, and Peres are still on the Roma books.
- The Bosnian star could move to Inter soon if the Nerazzurri will be happy to pay what Petrachi wants. The Italian sporting director is asking for €20m but Roma may even decide to accept slightly less than that, €15m?
- Defrel is chased by Cagliari who would be ready to pay about €14m to bring him back to the Italian island. Monaco seems to be interested in the striker as well.
- Olsen could be redirected somewhere else in the next few weeks. Reportedly, Benfica is thinking about the Swedish goalkeeper for about €10m.
- Bruno Peres is back on the Roma roster but he will be leaving soon. Roma could make about €6m by trading him out.
The overall profits the Giallorossi could make are about €15 million. If Petrachi and his collaborators will be able to finalize these deals, the Lupi may be ready to launch the final attack on two top-level players. The Roma fans are now dreaming of Mauro Icardi and albeit his salary seems to be a huge obstacle in front of their ambitions (about €9m), reportedly, the sporting director is thinking about this possibility. Alderweireld would be a great addition to Fonseca’s backline too.
