Roma: Diawara Hoping to do Better than Nainggolan and Strootman

The midfielder is thrilled to play for the Giallorossi. Diawara wants to see Roma back where it deserves to be. The Champions League is his main target. 

Amadou Diawara spoke to the press on Monday. The midfielder knows that this may be a great opportunity to become a top player and he wants to give his best for the Lupi.

“The goal of the season is to get back into the Champions League. We need to do everything possible to do that,” said Diawara during his first press conference since becoming a Roma player. “I’m very motivated. I know this is a huge club.”

The Guinea international is very impressed with Fonseca and he really appreciated his phone call a few weeks ago. “When he called me on the phone it was a big thing for me. I want to thank the club and the coach for the faith they have shown in me.”

Amadou Diawara knows he can do great things at Roma. He wants to prove he can become a great midfielder, perhaps even better than Nainggolan and Strootman, “They are great players. I’m still young and I hope to give my best to do what they did here and perhaps even more,” concluded Diawara.
