The striker of the Giallorossi could leave the Italian capital this summer. Cagliari is chasing him.
Roma would be willing to trade him out but although a few clubs are interested in him, Defrel is still a Roma player.
Reportedly, Paulo Fonseca is impressed with the Frenchman who is training well since the beginning of the summer retreat at Trigoria. But Defrel’s future seems to be away from the eternal city.
As stated by Cagliari President Giulini to Sky Sport, “it’s possible something will be discussed in the coming week. We are looking for a second striker and both the coach and the sporting director like him. Let’s see [what happens] in the coming days. This is not an easy negotiation.”
Gregoire Defrel could bring fresh cash into the Roma accounts. Reportedly, the Giallorossi are asking for about €13 million.
