Roma Coach Fonseca Chooses Napoli’s Diawara

The Portuguese coach would have accepted Diawara to strengthen his midfield. Roma and Napoli could be ready to finalize a double deal before June 30th, 2019.

Kostas Manolas seems to be ready to accept a move to Napoli and Amadou Diawara should be joining the Giallorossi soon. This is a likely scenario that could be made official in the next few days. Reportedly, Manolas would have agreed to join Ancelotti‘s group. The Partenopei should be ready to pay €34 million to bring the Greek defender to Napoli.

On the other side, Roma has reportedly targeted Diawara. Paulo Fonseca really likes the 21-year-old midfielder and he would have accepted his acquisition. The cost of this operation is about €18 million plus extra €2m (bonus).

According to the Italian TV show, Calciomercato – L’originale (Sky Sport), tomorrow, the agents of the midfielder will meet the Roma executives to reach an agreement.

Amadou Diawara is a defensive midfielder who made 19 appearances during the 2018-19 campaign. The Guinean played only 970 minutes last season though. He has good physicality (1,83m height) and great vision. The Giallorossi had thought of him even before the player signed a contract with the Partenopei at the end of August 2016.
