I Could not Have Changed Roma but Made a Contribution

Francesco Totti honestly spoke to the press explaining his expectations when he had decided to accept a managerial role at Roma. His commitment to the Lupi is now over.

In today’s press conference, the former captain of the Giallorossi was like the waters of a disruptive river. Totti said his truths and unveiled his deep disappointment at seeing his managerial and technical qualities not recognized by his employer. According to him, the club has never taken into consideration his contribution to developing the club on a technical standpoint.

“Totti could have not changed Roma but he could have made a contribution. Let’s say that many promises have been made but they were not real or at least not many of them. As a fan, I’m sorry, because as a fan, I have dreams. I would like to see Roma compete at the highest level as it did many years ago,” said Francesco Totti to the press.

“I do not want to talk about the economic problems of Roma. They will talk about these things. I gave 101% [for the club], it was always like that, even when I was playing.”

Today we have seen a person become more important than an emperor. A man who knows that millions of fans consider him as a brother. Francesco Totti also metaphorically embraced his loyal friend De Rossi: “Let’s say that if I were the Roma President and had two flags like Totti and De Rossi in the club, I’d give them everything.”

His passion for these colors never fades. When asked if he will be attending a few Roma matches at Stadio Olimpico next year, Totti has once again demonstrated his immense love for the Giallorossi: “I will, sometimes [go to the stadium next year]. I am and I will always be a Roma fan. I could also go to Curva Sud. Do you know what I could do? I could take Daniele and go to Curva Sud together to watch the match but only if he doesn’t go to play somewhere else.”
