Dreaming of a New Italian Roma, Mancini to Replace Manolas

The Lupi are ready to reshape their roster after a very disappointing campaign. Roma will trade several players this summer. Manolas could be replaced by Mancini.

Kostas Manolas is on the verge of joining Napoli and Roma needs a new talented centre-back. If rumors are confirmed, the Greek defender should be moving to Naples in the next few days to start another exciting professional adventure. The 28-year-old from Naxos (Greece) could leave the eternal city after having played 206 matches and scored 8 goals.

The Giallorossi are not only ready to trade players out though. Pallotta wants a strong and competitive side able to qualify for the Champions League. The new sporting director of the Lupi Petrachi has spoken to Fonseca about possible players to bring into the group of the Portuguese coach.

Atalanta‘s Gianluca Mancini is a serious target. The future of the Italian defender is still uncertain though. Reportedly, his price-tag is €25 million. According to the Italian Tuttoatalanta.com, Roma seems to be ready to finalize this negotiation.

Last January, his agent Stefano Castelnovo had spoken to the Italian radio station Teleradiostereo about the future of his client and stated: “Contacts with the Giallorossi have been going on for a while. But we will see the overall situation in June.”

The future of Roma could be increasingly Italian. The summer transfer market and the development of other players could make Roma become a prominent source of talents for the Italian national team.
