The President of the Italian National Olympic Committee Malagò firmly believes Roma should have the possibility to build the new facility in the eternal city.
“We must have the courage to make a decision and carry it forward, otherwise it is not serious, especially towards those who want to invest in our country,” said Malagò today at an event that took place at the headquarters of the Guardia di Finanza.
Several years ago, Jim Pallotta had presented a comprehensive project to build a new super-efficient facility that would be beneficial for the future of his club and for the eternal city as well. But after an endless number of bureaucratic procedures, the American businessman is still waiting for the final approval and the possibility to break ground.
“Roma, as well as Lazio and the other Italian football clubs, should have their stadium because it would be just. I speak of the stadium, everything else is not my responsibility,” continued Malagò as reported by the Italian outlet ForzaRoma.info. “Considering what is happening in other parts of the world, such as the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid or the new Tottenham‘s stadium, we should say enough! We must have the courage to make a decision.”
