Roma sporting director Monchi could accept Arsenal’s courtship if the giallorossi will fail their next Champions League match against Porto.
The saga Monchi-Arsenal goes on and it is fueled by British outlets. The Roma sporting director Monchi is reportedly thinking about leaving the Italian capital and the Gunners are seriously interested in signing him. According to The Sun, the announcement could be released right at the end of March.
Reportedly, if Roma will fail to qualify to the Champions League quarter-finals, Di Francesco could be sacked and Monchi would be free to go. Everybody knows that the Spaniard has always supported the Italian coach but with EDF out the sporting director of the Lupi would no longer be tied to the club.
The Champions League clash Porto-Roma will, therefore, be very important for Monchi as well. The Roma executive could make the agreement with Arsenal official by the end of March. The Gunners want to plan their next transfer market session and they need the Spaniard to be fully dedicated to their project.
On the other side, Roma would be able to select another key-man to reshape a team that has been very disappointing so far.
