Roma Make Contact With Boca Juniors for Barrios

Reportedly, Roma made an offer for the experienced Colombian midfielder. Real Madrid are monitoring the player as well. 

Although it seems to be difficult that the Italian side is moving towards the acquisition of a midfielder in the January transfer market, rumors from Argentina are reporting on an offer made by Monchi for Wilmar Barrios.

The Colombian midfielder has been linked to the giallorossi before, especially after the Copa Libertadores finals played between River Plate and Boca Juniors. According to TycSports, Monchi would be interested in bringing the midfielder to Trigoria before the end of the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old from Cartagena de Indias could be a perfect profile for the club of the Italian capital. The Colombian is a very tough defensive midfielder who could replace De RossiReal Madrid are monitoring the situation but even Manchester City seem to be interested.

As reported by the Argentine portal, Roma want to loan Wilmar Barrios for 6 months in order to purchase him paying 21 million to Boca Juniors but only if the player will show off his qualities in the eternal city until the end of the season.
