Reportedly, the Roma sporting director is chasing the talented Romanian central midfielder but albeit Marin is focussed on doing well with his current side, he also wants to play in a better league.
The January transfer window is around the corner and clubs are monitoring the market to ‘fix’ their weaknesses. Roma sporting director Monchi flew to Belgium and very likely he is negotiating one or more players there.
Reportedly, Roma are chasing Standard Liège‘s midfielder Razvan Marin. The 22-year-old central midfielder seems to be a prospect of a great player. In the 2018-19 campaign, the Romanian player made 24 caps, scoring 1 goal and 4 assists. He mostly played as a central midfielder (17 times) but also operated as a defensive playmaker (3 times) and as an offensive trequartista (only 1 game).
As reported by the Italian outlet ForzaRoma.info, the player from Bucarest has been interviewed by Het Belang van Limburg and stated: “Transfer market? I did not think about it too much, I think about doing my job. When something becomes concrete we will talk about it. Now I prefer to stay here and go forward step by step. But, of course, I want to play in a more important championship,” said Marin.
Nobody knows if Roma are ready to snatch Razvan Marin from Standard Liège. Reportedly, many other top European sides are chasing the player as well. However, Marin is on Monchi‘s agenda and the Spanish sporting director could decide to finalize this deal soon.
