Nainggolan: Roma Wanted to Sell Me and I Ended The Relationships

The Belgian star retraced a moment of his last period at Roma. Nainggolan passed through a tough period when he left the Italian capital but now he is pretty happy at Inter.

Many Roma fans are still upset for Nainggolan’s departure. When Monchi and Pallotta decided to give green light to Inter for the midfielder, the fans have fallen into a sort of darkness difficult to overcome. The bond between Roma and the Belgian star was strong but acute financial observations and projections on the possible performance of the player led to this suffered decision.

“I’ve always been fond of the places I’ve been working in, such as Cagliari and Roma,” said Radja Nainggolan to the Italian magazine Undici. “I have always given and received a lot”.

The midfielder also spoke about his new adventure in the north of Italy. “Both my teammates and club have welcomed me very nicely. It was not easy for me to change the environment. I am happy to be here, though. There is a coach who strongly wanted me and with whom I am in excellent relationships”.

But Nainggolan cannot forget the last moments of his Roman adventure. “When I knew that Roma wanted to sell me, I ended the relationship. I spent a period when I was really embittered by how my adventure in Rome was over. But now I’m serene. My way of playing leads me to be respected and well-liked because I always give my best on the field”.
