The Czech striker will be a starter against his former team. Schick must believe in his rebirth.
In today’s press conference ahead of Roma-Sampdoria, Eusebio Di Francesco told the press that Patrick Schick will be included in his starting 11 on Sunday.
The Czech international has a great opportunity once more. After his very disappointing first season in the Italian capital, the talented striker is still struggling overwhelmed by the pressure of such a big professional jump.
But tomorrow something must change to prevent the player from entering a state of chronic anonymity that would take him far from the eternal city.
“I don’t want to change a lot but a few players have played many matches so far,” said Di Francesco during the press conference at Trigoria training center. “We have to be ready physically and mentally.”
The Italian coach has also announced that Patrick Schick will be the Roma offensive point of reference against Sampdoria.
“Certainly, Schick will play from the beginning of the match. But there’s a possibility to see him playing with Dzeko as well. I’m still evaluating the situation.”
Patrick Schick is, therefore, on the launch pad against his former club. The Roma fans are hoping that the Czech player can start a positive path in the shadow of the colosseum.
