The Swedish goalkeeper is happy for the award received in Stockholm. Nowadays, Olsen is more confident at Roma.
Although he didn’t win the 2018 Swedish Golden Ball as expected, the Roma goalkeeper got another important award thanks to his remarkable performances with his national team.
All the Italians still remember that ‘tragic’ November 11, 2017, when the Italian national team failed to qualify for the World Cup in Russia. That day, Robin Olsen saves Sweden several times from the Italian assaults. The goalkeeper, one of the best men on the field, dragged his teammates to a phenomenal achievement.
Yesterday, the Roma Viking got an important award as the best Swedish goalkeeper for 2018.
“I suffered from an injury at the beginning of the season and I had to train by myself for a while,” said Olsen to the press at the ceremony in Stockholm. “But after that moment, everything has become a dream. Now I’m very happy and honored to get this award as the best goalkeeper.”
“I won’t stop but improve even more. This 2018 has been a pivotal year for my career,” concluded the Roma goalkeeper Robin Olsen.
