The Brazilian jewel David Neres has unveiled a transfer market negotiation between him and two top European sides. Roma and Borussia Dortmund were chasing the player.
Sometimes, rumors become news unexpectedly. Over the summer, several Italian and Dutch outlets were reporting about Roma’s alleged interest in David Neres, the talented Brazilian winger who plays at Ajax. Nowadays, instead, we have the official confirmation that the negotiation had begun but was then abruptly interrupted by the player himself.
“I have rejected offers from Roma and Borussia Dortmund“, said Neres to Jovem Pan, the main Brazilian radio station based in São Paulo, Brazil.
The talented offensive winger has also explained the reasons for his decision. “I think I still have to grow a lot and win some titles here at Ajax. It was not the right time to go. I spoke with my family and my agent about that. Those championships are better than the Dutch. But when I make the big jump I want to be 100% ready”.
Last season, David Neres made 38 appearances with Ajax scoring 15 goals and 14 assists. The 21-year-old from São Paulo (Brazil) is a fast right-winger able to dribble and score goals. In the current season, Neres made 20 appearances scoring 2 goals and 6 assists.
The future seems to smile at the Brazilian jewel. Perhaps, Roma will try to sign the player again next summer.
