Roma Banks World Record Fee For Alisson

Liverpool reaches an agreement with the Giallorossi to sign the Brazilian goalkeeper. Alisson is already in the U.K. to finalize this deal together with his agent.

Alisson Becker can be considered a former Roma player. Today, the goalkeeper flew to Liverpool in order to complete his move to the U.K. Several rumors were reporting on the imminent departure of the Brazil international. Although Chelsea tried to hijack the negotiation between the Reds and the Giallorossi, Jurgen Klopp won the ‘battle’ against the new Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri.

Roma banks €75 million, a world-record fee for a goalkeeper. Alisson, therefore, becomes the most expensive keeper in the world of football. Many years ago, the Italian legend, Gianluigi Buffon, moved from Parma to Juventus for €53 million. Recently, Ederson joined Manchester City for €40m. In this list of expensive goalkeepers, there’s the Germany international Neuer (€30m) and the British talent Pickford (€28.5m).

Alisson Becker leaves Roma to join Liverpool after having played a great season. The player should undergo his medicals on Saturday. The Roma fans lose another top player after Radja Nainggolan‘s sudden departure toward Inter. Monchi must find a great replacement as soon as possible to calm the passionate supporters of the Lupi.
