Roma, Gerson a European Brazilian

Roma discovers Gerson, a Brazilian with a great touch and a European playing style. The 2017-18 season could be the launching pad for the talented youngster.

Last season, Roma fans were very skeptical about Gerson. Spalletti started him in the disappointing away match against Juventus at the Allianz stadium and then relegated the player on the bench for the whole season. The Brazilian almost left the club to move to France albeit his relocation suddenly fell through.

Today, Gerson is a new player with a different mindset. The Brazilian talent feels Di Francesco‘s trust and he is gaining confidence. The actual Gerson is a good midfielder, an added value for Roma’s roster.

The Serie A home match against Crotone comfirmed his mental solidity and tactical wisdom. He played a consistent match helping his teammates in the development of the offensive phase as well as in covering his area of competence whenever Nicola‘s guys counterattacked.
