Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali confirmed Lorenzo Pellegrini’s imminent move to Roma.
Recently, Eusebio Di Francesco was officially presented as Roma’s new manager and the 47-year-old will take Pellegrini with him to the Eternal City.
Carnevali expects Roma to exercise their option to re-sign the midfielder before the June 30 deadline.
“We are proud to see our coach joining such a big club as Roma,” he told Sky Sport. He helped Sassuolo so far and we owe him a lot.
The agreement with Roma is already in place. They have an option and the Giallorssi will exercise it. We never had problems with Roma, so we are confident that Pellegrini will return to the capital.”
