The AS Roma CEO Umberto Gandini had to say something to Premium Sport in reference to Totti, Strootman, and Kessiè.
“We cannot blame Monchi for what he said during the press conference. He just confirmed what was already written on the official documents. Totti’s career as AS Roma player ends on June 30. After that date, he will start his career as a manager in this club. Totti is and remains an integral part of AS Roma.
In reference to Strootman disqualification, we were really confident. We had brought all the elements that could prove it was a gaming dynamics but the court rejected our request. The destiny is still in our hands. It would have been better to have four points gap with Napoli but one could be enough as well. It doesn’t change much. We have to win games.
You talk too much about the transfer market. We are very interested in Franck Kessiè. However, there are other clubs interested in the player. Deals must be sealed in three, the buyer, the seller, and the player. Let’s see what will happen.”
