Even Daniele De Rossi continues to be surprised by what is happening in the AS Roma world.

After a lifetime with the Giallorossi’s colors stitched on, the champion of Ostia still remains puzzled by the absurd abnormalities affecting the environment of the capital of Italy.

“AC Milan is sixth in the standings but their supporters welcome them with ovations, this makes me think of the atmosphere of Rome which is not right with respect to the value of the team and what it is doing.

We knew how important it was to win in Milan, we deserve the second place, and maybe we do not deserve the first. It is never easy to win in Milan.”

Once again, Totti’s saga has shocked all those who support Roma as a team and do not blindly line up for the fate of a single player. It seems like we are living in a bad tale. In fact, this fairy tale was beautiful, the most beautiful of all the stories told over the years. The child with a dream that, over the years, has firstly become a player, then a champion, and finally a legend.

However, in the closing months of the story of an idol that amazed crowds for his class, the fairy tale is no longer interesting but boring and stale. Perhaps Totti would have deserved something different at this time, but his figure seems to be the one chosen to destabilize the AS Roma environment.

Totti made a huge part of the AS Roma story but he is not the AS Roma as a physical entity that entered the football business in 1927. The team remains while players pass. With us are only memories that need to be preserved but that they do not have to make us ignore that we support a club, not a player!
