AS Roma’s Kevin Strootman was interviewed by the satellite channel SKY Sport in reference to his future.
The Dutch midfielder revealed that his agent and the club are talking about a contract renewal. Moreover, he stated that his future is in Rome.

“My teammates are happy to play with me perhaps because I give 100% all the time. I don’t give up, never. However, I wouldn’t be anything without my teammates because I am not a player able to dribble three opponents and go toward the net. We need the everyone’s help.
Dzeko had a bad reaction but he spoke with Spalletti and then he apologized to us. This is something that can happen. The coach was thinking to the next match and he decided to replace him because he has only Totti and Dzeko available.
We are talking about the new contract. Now there is also a new sporting director and I believe there will be some changes in the club. I fell fine with everyone at AS Roma. They supported me when I was injured. To talk about a 5-year contract everything must be set up in a proper way but surely I will stay here the next year.
The coach is very strong. He tactically reshaped our team over the years. He did a great job and I hope he will stay with us.”
