Bologna-Roma 0-3: Fazio, a rock – Salah, a threat

Federico Fazio - AS Roma
Federico Fazio - AS Roma

A couple of Roma players impressed this afternoon away at Bologna.

Federico Fazio

70/78 passes completed at 89.7%

1/1 tackles

5/5 headed clearances

8/8 clearances

1 goal

Mohamed Salah

28/31 passes complete at 90.3%

4/4 take ons

1 goal.

Both of these players were the standout players for Roma this afternoon. Federico Fazio was back to old self after a few off games and being left out of the starting XI. This time played as a back two instead of a back three. Looked solid on the deck and imperious in the air. Didn’t look troubled against the clever Destro. Also opened the scoring with a lovely half-volley.

Mohamed Salah was a constant threat down the right of a 4-2-3-1, he gave the Bologna defence a lot of problems with his direct running and take ons. He managed to score a lovely goal which gave Roma a 2-0 lead before half time. Also had a hand in Roma third and final goal this afternoon with a lovely through ball to Diego Perotti who played in Edin Dzeko for his 24th goal of the season.
