A new strategic system in the digital world has been made thanks to the alliance between Technogym and IBM for the creation of a virtual trainer.
Technogym and IBM make a virtual trainer – The Italian manufacturer of training machines has signed an alliance with IBM to make a training platform through the use of artificial intelligence. “The goal is to create a virtual human trainer capable of interacting with people who use natural language and offering them personalized training programs based on their objectives and context” stated Technogym, “In this way, personalization would even take into account issues such as the climate, the person’s agenda or the food consumed.“

When this service is completely realized, it will be integrated within the MyWellness platform in order for the Italian manufacturer of training machine and for the users to centralize all the information.
All the information will also be translated into an assessment of a virtual coach who will advise the users when they are training outside their usual sports center. Nerio Alessandri, founder and CEO of the Italian company stated, “Our goal has always been to offer our users a personalized training experience through connected teams, services, and contents capable of interacting with them, understanding their deep motivation and needs and obtaining results.“

As reported by Palco23, the announcement of this initiative comes a day after the presentation of Technogym’s economic results. The Italian company closed 2016 with a turnover of €555.34 million, recording a +8.5% from the previous year. Net profit grew at a similar pace and reached €43 million (+ 54%). This improvement is expected to continue this year with new investments in R & D, according to investors.
