The Stadio della Roma project is going on. A few hours ago the floor plan of the facility was presented with a sensible cut to the cubatures (48%). Tomorrow, the AS Roma president will meet up with the Mayor of Rome Virginia Raggi to finalize the procedures to get the final approval.

The Sports’ Assessor of the Municipality of Rome, Daniele Frongia expressed his confidence about the Stadio della Roma project in an interview released to the Italian newspaper La Repubblica:

The road map that will lead to the amendment of the resolution which, when Marino was in charge, declared the public utility of the new stadium of Rome proceeds in rapid stages.

The group is united (he is referring to the Movement 5 stars – the leading political party in Rome), it will also be united about the Stadio della Roma. The votes in the general assembly are those that count, not the social networks.”

According to La Repubblica, the main goal of the Movement 5 stars is to avoid a second conference of services. To reach this objective, yesterday, the proponents (AS Roma and Parsitalia) presented the floor plan of the complex with a 48% cut of the overall cubatures of the project to the new head of urban planning Luca Montuori,  his colleague Linda Meleo, the general director of the city Franco Giampaoletti, and the architect Alberto Sasso.
