AS Roma’s Greek defender Kostas Manolas released an interview to SKY Sport Italia in which clarified a few things that, according to him, were misinterpreted by the fans.

AS ROMA 360 previously reported Manolas’ words released right after the match than his national team played against Belgium.

SKY Sport Italia tried to understand more about his future and his actual moment at Roma.

Empoli? – This is a match that we absolutely have to win. Even if Empoli is at the bottom of the standings, they play well. We must be focused and win.

Napoli vs Juventus? – I will not support any of these teams. It’s going to be a great match between two big teams.

Can Roma still win something this season? – I hope so. We are still competing on two fronts and even if it’s going to be difficult we have to try to do our best.

Overturn the match against Lazio? – We had this chance against Lyon but if the ball doesn’t go into the net we cannot do anything. I believe that if we’ll be able to replicate the same performance we have a chance to overturn the result.

Barriers? – We are very happy about that. Our fans will give us an extra push.

Your future? – As I read in newspapers I will be playing for Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal, Juventus, and Inter. Only God knows my future. What I do know is that I have another two years of contract with Roma.

Are you still in tied to Roma? – Of course. Everyone supported me, especially the fans. I will give 110% for this team.

Your words about Nainggolan? – I’ve never said that he should leave the club. Roma is a Top club, otherwise I wouldn’t be playing here. He is a great champion and he could play wherever he wants. If he wants to remain at Roma he can do so, I am not pushing him to go.

Spalletti? – He taught me to always believe in victory. He believes in it all the time.

Best defender in  Italy? – Chiellini

Best striker in Italy? – Higuain
