The importance of social networks is constantly increasing. Football clubs around the world are trying to carefully customise their online content to make it perfectly suitable and tailored for their supporters.

AS Roma is deeply engaged in the digital word. As we all know, the American ownership is very into this world made of video, interaction, marketing, and every other form of engagement that would bring notoriety and benefits to the club. This is the right thing to do if we think that most of the people spend a consistent amount of time surfing online, watching videos, reading news, and looking for new fascinating virtual experiences every day.

The data provided by RESULT Sports, a famous digital agency located in Germany, are there to confirm that the giallorossi are doing well on the digital front. AS Roma is in the Italian Top 3 for absolute digital reach with almost 11 million followers between Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, You Tube and other networks. In the first position, there is Juventus that confirms to be the most loved Italian club while AC Milan sits in the second place of this particular ranking. It is interesting to know that thanks to the digital wisdom of tech guru Paul Rogers, the former digital manager of Liverpool FC, AS Roma made an incredible step forward jumping ahead of many other historic clubs such as Inter and Napoli.

In another recent research, RESULT Sports compared the Top 3 teams in four European leagues, to show their cumulated Top 3 countries of following on Facebook and the registered growth in the past two years, from March 2015 to March 2017. In this case, the three Italian clubs under observation were AC Milan, Juventus, and AS Roma but, although the clubs of the Premier League and La Liga have a greater amount of followers, in the last two years the three Italian giants substantially increased their Facebook community. The very interesting data highlighted is that in the last 24 months more than 3 million Egyptian users joined the Facebook pages of one of these three Italian clubs. Also, Indonesia is confirmed to be a country where the passion for football and social networks is firmly rooted, more than 6 million people are engaged on Facebook and liked the pages of AC Milan, Juventus, and AS Roma.
