The AS Roma president James Pallotta was interviewed by the official radio station of the club of Trigoria (Roma Radio) to explain his previous interview released at SiriusXM FC.

“In Rome, words are extrapolated out of context. I’ve done a courtesy to those who lead the telephone show to announce the AS Roma US tour with big teams that will be involved.

First of all, I would not dare to publicly criticize Spalletti and if I have to say something to him I would do it privately. Also, we played big games one after the other and this has resulted in a huge waste of energy. Some players were in trouble, but they are fit and these things happen; it is physiological. I’m confident that the team will properly react to this bad moment. For example, Ruediger was unavailable and could not give breath to some teammates. I’m tired of these lies that are invented.

It ‘clear that we are now called to important comebacks but the example of Barcelona is fresh and we can do this because our attack and defense lines are strong. Anything could happen!

I didn’t want to criticize Walter Sabatini, he did an incredible job in the last 4 years. He was working together with other people and we cannot blame a single person if mistakes were made. What we want to do is to provide us with a significant youth sector and the results are there to prove it. We have great young talents and we don’t like to let them go. It’s frustrating when we send a player on loan but he doesn’t play because when they play they make the difference.

Florenzi is a source of energy and not many people understand how difficult is to stay without him. His absence put Spalletti in trouble but our coach did a great job changing formations and tactics. I didn’t know that he is turning 26 today, best wishes to him and I hope to see him back on the pitch soon. Everyone misses him, I miss his smile and energy.
Forza Roma!”
