Interactive Media Awards elects Roma website with Best in Class’ status.

Thanks to the proficient partnership between the giallorossi and Omnigon, the Roma website was awarded the Best in Class’ status.

That Roma was working hard and proficiently in the digital sector is not news. Since Paul Rogers’ arrival into the club, the AS Roma Head of Digital implemented great strategies that allowed the club of Trigoria to sharply boost its performances online. Therefore, today’s news that Roma was awarded the Best in Class’ status for its new and innovative website is the natural result of the hard and competent work of the former-Liverpool FC’s Head of Digital and his expert group of professional.

Interactive Media Council, who launched this competition in 2006, focused its attention on a few technical aspects to evaluate the websites such as design and developments in order to award organizations for their outstanding achievements.

5 main categories were under inspection and 100 is the maximum evaluation that can be obtained for each category analyzed. AS Roma performed as follows:

Content: 100/100

Design: 98/100

Feature Functionality: 100/100

Usability: 99/100

Standards Compliance: 95/100

AS Roma’s Head of Digital Paul Rogers expressed his happiness about this deserved award:

“Our main goal has always been to give a great online experience to our passionate followers and when we partnered with Omnigon we worked hard to realize an engaging product that could have been perfect for a football team. We decided to allow our fans to be part of our website and to create content for it. To do so, we implemented a crowdsourcing approach and we are the first team in the world that developed this strategy. We can happily say that this approach allowed our website to increase 107% in web page impressions and 46% in unique visitors. But we have to do more and build on these numbers to always provide a better service to our supporters around the world.”

Even Omnigon’s Chief Commercial Officer, David Nugent, is happy about the achievement that his company obtained thanks to the partnership with AS Roma:
