Garcia and Keita as gladiators in the Closseum! We are not afraid and we won’t give up!

Rudi Garcia and Seydou Keita held the pre-match press conference ahead of the important Europa League match between Roma and Fiorentina.

I have to say that after criticism that I made against Rudi Garcia in the past days today I really apreciated his press conference. The Frenchmann was strong and smart enough in answering to the questions about the incredible bad moment in which Roma is passing through. In particularly apreciated his following statement:

“I do not give up at the first difficult moment. I don’t know when there is the last match of the season but I’ll be with my players at the final whistle and I’ll push everyone who needs to be pushed and I’ll be the first to do that.”
I would say that the experienced captain is back and hopefully his crew will have received the message!

At this stage Roma needs a reaction because the situation is very intricate and the Europa League could give to the giallorossi that necessary vital lymph to restart in the Serie A as well. Recent rumors were stating that during the face to face that Garcia had with his team before the press conference he smashed a chair into the wall and even if the Frenchman denied it I really believe that the giallorssi players are now aware that no one can make other mistakes until the end.
The recreation leave is over! The players must go back into the classroom because the professor is starting to teach again!
In today’s press conference most of the journalists were putting their fingers in the wounds by pushing Rudi Garcia to reveal what is happening to his guys and to explain the reasons why his module is not efficient anymore. The Frenchmann replayed in this way:

“In the last few matches we have played in three different ways by adopting three different module. The issue is that we don’t score goals and we were unlucky as well. I also believe that Roma’s performance against Sampdoria is better then that one provided against Chievo and Parma. However, we drew those matches and lost against the blucerchiati I’m not worried because my team demonstrated to be able to create dangerous opportunities.”
Rudi Garcia seems to be ready to face everyone in order to defend his way to play and, moreover, his guys. The upcoming match against Fiorentina could be the right one to re-conquer the AS Roma disappointed supporters. Even if the Frenchman believes that this city is so beautiful and so difficult I reckon that the supporters waited for long time before expressing their anger for these unexpected results.

Seydou Keita winked to fans by remembering them that Roma will do everything that is possible to return to the victory in order to give them a new joy. The Malian star also demonstarted his passion for these color and football in general when he stated:

“We are just players and we need the support of our fans. Even if they cannot play they can definitely help us to reach our goals. We are playing for Roma only in this moment of our career but tey will be Roma’s strenght for ever.”
In conclusion I would say that today’s press conference gave me back the confidence I had lost. Garcia and Keita were called to respond to fierce and difficult questions and my opinion is that they did a good job.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow and for the future as well!
