Alfano: Decree against violence approved!

Through his official Facebook page Italian Interior Minister Angelino Alfano expressed his happiness for the approval of the decree against violence in the stadiums.

Those who will be protagonists of violence within the stadiums will be punished with the so called “Daspo“. The “Daspo” can be applied to a single person or to a group of people that will be removed from the stadiums for a period of 1-2 seasons.

The football clubs will have to pay a tax on safety which is roughly estimated to be between 2 and 6 million euro for the current season. In addition to these new measures, the police will be equipped with theTaser“, an instrument that provides electric shocks.

Angelino Alfano stated:

“Thanks to these new measures we’ll be able to keep violent people out of the stadiums and we’ll let families and children to return to the stadiums.”
