According to the famous transfer market expert, Alfredo Pedulla`, Walter Sabatini is closing Carbonero’s deal. The Colombian midfielder will be purchased by Roma and then sent to Cesena on loan.
This is the same strategy that Walter Sabatini, AS Roma’s sporting director, used last year with Paredes that was purchased from Boca Junior and then sent to Chievo for 6 months. By doing so, the non-EU player will automatically become EU and, at the end of the first season that Carbonero will play in Italy with another team, Roma could decide to redeem the player.
Yesterday, Rino Foschi, Cesena’s sporting director, spoke about Carbonero and he expressed his interest in this possible joint deal with Roma. In light of that, Roma will close this deal soon for around 6-7 million euro and Cesena should pay 300-400 thousand euro for the loan without redemption obligations.
