Manolas: all roads lead to Rome!?

According to what Manola’s agent said to “” there are no planned meetings between him and AS Roma, however, the pieces of the puzzles seem to create a perfect picture.

Mehdi Benatia will leave Rome in the next few days and Roma will cash-in something like 30 million euro. This profit will be partially reinvested to complete Garcia’s team and to keep him calm. Yes, because in a recent interview Rudi Garcia stated to be deeply convinced that the strong Moroccan defender would remain in Rome. Unfortunately that is not so because he refused the great contract renewal that Roma proposed to him.

No worries…Sabatini is an expert negotiator and he already thought about the future. The future could be Kostas Manolas the strong Greek defender that is actually playing with Olympiakos and that amazed the crowds during the recent World Cup. A few days ago, rumors from the UK were stating that Manolas was really close to Arsenal and that his medicals were already planned. That was no true and Ioannis Evangelopoulos, Manolas’ agent, confirmed that the player is not close to sign for the British team.

Walter Sabatini seems to spread a sort of spiderweb and his plan is already shaping up. During this week-end or at the latest on Monday Sabatini will sell Benatia and then he will redirect his attention on Manolas and Basa (Garcia’s favorite defender). Lille’s defender will be pursued to satisfy Garcia while the Greek defender should be the “important” defender to replace Benatia.

I still use the verbs in the conditional form because the friendship between Sabatini and Baldini, Tottenham’s general director, could propitiate Chiriches deal.
