Are they really doing that? Roma-Milan meeting for a deal!

It’s simply a weird decision to reshape the team just seven days before the beginning of the next Serie A. More than once I stated  that I deeply trust Walter Sabatini being simply amazed by his experience and knowledge of soccer, however, I have a deep disappointment knowing that he is involved in a meeting with Galliani who is deeply interested in Mattia Destro.

Roma’s supporters are assimilating very well Benatia’s departure that seems to be still not finalized but practically done. The player is leaving a big hole in Roma’s defense line but Sabatini seems already to have his replacement, Manolas or Chiriches + Marko Basa.

Destro’s situation is a bit different. I firmly believe that it is too late to look forward an adequate player that could replace the Italian striker. Moreover, I also believe that it is absolutely not a smart idea to strengthen an Italian team who plays your same competitions (Serie A and Italian Cup). At this stage, the situation is as follows…Galliani, Milan’s sporting director, is ready to offer around 15 million euro but Roma’s request is well higher 25 million. The agreement has not been found but it seems just weird that that meeting took place.

What’s Roma actual strategy? Why is Sabatini working toward these multiple transfers?
