AEK Atene-Roma 1-2: Keita the king of the midfield!

As usual during the friendly matches that Roma played this summer Garcia’s guys needed a bit of time to properly enter the match. AEK Atene gave to the match a dizzying rhythm and only thanks to Morgan De Sanctis they did not score a goal.

Roma’s tactic seemed to be less precise and ordered on the pitch on the basis to what we have seen last season. Undoubtedly, many players were missing due to various reasons but Rudi Garcia must regulate the defensive mechanisms because they seemed to be very weak and approximate.

The second half showed Roma’s different approach to the match. Garcia’s guys managed the ball very well and thanks to the wise direction of Keita the team seemed to properly play and create scoring opportunities. The positive mentions go to De Sanctis, Keita, Florenzi and Nainggolan while the negative go to the disastrous Emanuelson that has not been able to properly interpret the role.

The match ended 1-2 thanks to a good goal scored by Iturbe on a free kick, a header by Keita and a penalty scored by D’Acol just 5 mins before the end of the match.
