Trapattoni: “Mancini would be the right choice”

In a couple of weeks Giovanni Trapattoni, the former Italian national team coach, should become the new Ivory Coast’s coach.

However, the experienced Italian coach also had the opportunity to express his opinion on the current situation of the Italian national team.

He highlighted that in order to replace Prandelli he would be sure about who to choose as the new coach:

I would choose Roberto Mancini as the new coach of the Italian national team. I firmly believe that he has the right personality to become the coach of Italy.”

At this stage there are three strong candidates to replace the disastrous Cesare Prandelli. Allegri, Mancini and Spalletti could be the right names but recently there were some rumors of a possible contact with Antonio Conte, Juventus’ coach, to propose him to accept a dual role.
