Italy-Ireland, no goals but two injuries

Not many positive news for Cesare Prandelli in the last match before leaving for Brazil. Prandelli’s guys’ performance has been very negative. For a long period, Ireland played very well and created many problems for the Italian team that, more than once, has been saved by the great performance of their second goalkeeper, Sirigu.

However, the negative news did not came only from the pitch. Riccardo Montolivo and Alberto Aquilani concluded their match before the time due to injuries. Both players went to the hospital, Aquilani for a hit to his head that caused a headache and vomiting, while Montolivo broke his leg.
